About Us
Founded in 2021, by Larenzo and Claressa Givens, husband and wife educators in the Texas School District. The Marathon Learning Club is very passionate and driven about creating an environment for students to learn using innovative tools, technology and quality educational resources to help personalize student learning style.
Meet the Founders and Owners
Claressa Givens is a life-long learner and Certified Educator and School Counselor. She is a well-established educator with over 13 years of Teaching experience and is gifted at specializing instruction to maximize student engagement and growth.
She currently serves as At-Risk Counselor at Booker Elementary in the Spring Independent School District in Texas. In her personal life, Claressa Givens is a licensed Minister and Ordained Pastor and has been ministering for 11 years.
She is the epitome of an Intercessor, is a powerful Woman of Prayer and she loves teaching the Word of God and serving others.
Claressa Givens is a strong believer that all students can learn and improve, no matter their shortcomings or their giftedness.
Larenzo Givens is a life-long learner and Certified Educator in Math, Reading & Language Arts, Science, History and Physical Education. He is a passionate educator with over 7 years of Teaching experience and is gifted at ‘bringing the content to life’.
He currently serves as 5th Grade Math Teacher at Summerwood Elementary in the Humble Independent School District in Texas. He strives to reach all students by meeting them where they are, nurturing their strengths and improving their opportunistic areas of academics.
In his personal life, Larenzo Givens is a licensed Minister and Ordained Pastor and has been ministering for 6 years. He loves teaching the Word of God and serving others. Larenzo Givens is a strong believer that learning is a marathon, not a sprint. He believes that in life, we never stop learning but rather, we continue to push and reach new levels of learning every day of our lives.
Janiah Givens is a Junior at Atascocita High School in the Humble Independent School District in Texas. Janiah is extremely wise beyond her years in many facets of life. She is skilled in all academic areas and currently holds a 4.1 GPA.
She is an aspiring Educator and is a Great support to her Marathon Learning Club. She enjoys leading guided reading lessons, teaching students key foundational math skills and really connects well with children of all ages.
In her personal life, Janiah Givens serves on the Hospitality Team at her Church and enjoys serving others.
